The Center for Women and Enterprise Welcomes Nancy Pearson as Director for New Hampshire

Nashua, NH – The Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is pleased to announce that Nancy Pearson has joined the organization as the Director for New Hampshire.  The Women’s Business Center is run in partnership with the US Small Business Administration (SBA) to provide services to the growing number of women entrepreneurs in the State.

The Center for Women and Enterprise is a nationally known nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people start and grow their businesses. CWE has worked with more than 37,300 Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont entrepreneurs since 1995. CWE also operates the Veterans Business Outreach Center of New England (VBOC of NE) that focuses on assisting veterans, active duty service members and their families with starting and growing their business.

Nancy brings a passion for education, along with nearly 20 years of nonprofit management experience to the position. “As a seasoned nonprofit executive, Nancy has the experience and skills to be a strong and effective Project Director, which will increase the reach and effectiveness of our New Hampshire Center.” said Susan Rittscher, President & CEO, Center for Women and Enterprise.

Most recently, Nancy was the director of the City of Portsmouth Cultural Commission, and a marketing director at the University of New Hampshire, where she earned her master’s in Public Administration. Nancy is also serving her first term as an elected official on the Portsmouth City Council.

Previously, Nancy transitioned out of education as a classroom teacher, and traveled across the state providing literacy workshops and training to parents and educators using PBS educational programs as a teaching tool for New Hampshire Public Television.

“I am honored and thrilled to have been selected to lead The Center for Women and Enterprise in New Hampshire,” noted Pearson. “I look forward to working with the CWE team, the SBA and the advisory board in New Hampshire, to expand the reach and impact of our organization across the state.”

WBENC Certification is nationally recognized in helping established women business owners access new corporate contracts with organizations that are actively seeking supplier diversity.
